Dr. McCarthy is the best pediatric Pulmonologist. My son gets the best care and treatment. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this office.

Dr. McCarthy and his staffs both when he was at Deaconess and since moving to Providence, cared for my son, Granville Or man, for 30 years. I cannot express my utmost faith, confidence, and unwavering trust that I have in him, his judgement, his professionalism, and his compassion...not only to his patients but to their loved ones as well. My son had Cystic Fibrosis, and through the years, Dr M (as my son called him) always kept us up to date on all the newest medications, treatments, therapies, ect, that came out. My son passed earlier this year, and during his last days, Dr McCarthy and his staff worked tirelessly, contacting other doctors, foundations, universities, to see if there was anything missed, anything more that could be done. He was gently honest in his prognosis, infusing guarded optimism while also helping me with planning for the \what-it's\ in case he continued going down. Though my son is no longer with us, I will always consider Dr McCarthy and his staff not only the epitome of first class medical care, but also dear and cherished members of my family.

And thanks to the selflessness of the dr.s and all staff, I found hope that my son could have some sort of painless unshamed life in this tragic illness born with in him. Amazing doctor. Answer to our prayers. On our first visit he spent a significant amount of time explaining our child’s asthma problem to us in his personal office and encouraged questions. My skeptical husband became a believer. He has been patient with us on our hesitation to medicate our child and explains the pros and cons of treatments allowing us to make decisions. Our child has improved tremendously and we are very grateful.
