When a storm hit our area in the summer of 2019, the damaged roofs around us were replaced by their respective insurance companies. While our roofer said ours needed replaced, and did it in a hurry for us, AllState refused to pay the 12,000 bill after months of going in circles. Needless to say, we were stuck with that bill. I was yelled at by a claims adjuster and told by his superiors there was nothing they would do for us to get our money. We've moved on to another insurance agency and I'd encourage anyone else thinking of using AllState to do the same. Their care for their customers is a zero.

Rob and his team are nice, no problem with them. However, I’ve realized why Allstate has lower rates than other insurance companies - their claims department refuses to pay out even when you’re clearly covered for something (spelled out in the contract). My husband had personal tools stolen from his truck. They won’t even come close to paying what they’re worth even tho we’re covered just because he uses them occasionally at works. My husband was told by a claims manager that even if our personal tools in our garage were stolen, they probably wouldn’t take care of it , “because most people don’t usually own that many tools unless they use them for work.” Maybe not most people but definitely some people do. So why state in the documents Allstate covers up to X amount? He also told my husband that they MAY cover the cheap tools but not the expensive tools. Don’t fall for Allstate even if they have lower rates because you won’t get what you’re supposed to and if you do get anything you have to fight for it and it’s a long fight.
