We had a great time kayaking yesterday. It was a beautiful day on the water. We booked everything online the day before. When we arrived we checked in quickly and headed down to the water. They had our kayak waiting for us. We had two hours to head to the pull out area. Since the current was pretty quick, we did paddle back up a couple of times for the extra exercise . We didn't get to see any Manatee's this trip. But, that just gives us a great excuse to go back again. *Because of the current, this is a great spot for someone not used to long paddles*

5 stars for the springs themselves but unfortunately this place has ruined the experience. This used to be my favorite place to spend the day kayaking. Now it is half the length it used to be, but yet they still charge the same price. Try to book a reservation and it has to be weeks out in advanced, even for your own boat. They use to allow other kayak places along the river to launch from the top but now they stopped that. So good luck and enjoy the river but man did they ruin what was the best place in Florida! P.S don't get run over by the locals in their own motorboats.

We used our own kayaks for Labor Day weekend kayaking Weeki Wachee springs. We made our reservation online. It was easy and straight forward. No lines. Safe COVID environment at the check in. Really we just paid for use of their launch site there wasn’t much assistance needed or offered from the kayak place. The first 2 miles were beautiful clear water. Saw a large amounts of fish, a manatee, birds, etc. But next three miles on our way to roger park were busy with boats, partying, music. The water was nice but not as clear, no fish, manatee. Too busy. If we were going to do it again we’d just go first two Miles Then turn around and head back up to the Weeki Wachee launch site. Because we had our own kayaks we had to send one of us back on their shuttle to get the car. They would not transport our kayaks back to the launch site for us. So that was a little bit of a hassle but not too bad, took about a half an hour.

It was absolutely gorgeous & really enjoyed the scenery. We brought our own kayak & they still charged us 12 to launch at their dock. They didn't assist us, so I'm not sure what we were paying for. They also confiscated the plastic baggies we had our phones in, & the bag we had our dry clothes & towels in. Inspected our cooler & so we didn't have to throw away our drinks charged us 4 for drink bottles. Which were made of plastic! Kind of seemed like a racket. They did have beautiful peacocks walking around freely, & the water was incredible & so clear. We were hoping to see a manatee but no such luck

Did not rent from here...but Dropped our own SUP(s) in at Rogers park..paddled up stream 6 miles to magic...coasted 6 miles down river back to lot. The clearest water I've ever seen. Truly amazing to have a place like this exist. You have to make sure you go on a sunny day for the full color effect...well worth a full day! Saw a few manatees as well..!
