A nice surprise! A nice Riverside Trail, fairly new, along the north/west side of the North Saskatchewan River. Sitting benches here and there. Two massive sets of new stairs.

It is a great place to take the kids and pan for some gold when the river is low in the fall. They were so excited to find gold. It is a little hike down and not stroller friendly.
Very nice location, kind of hidden but a cool find outside of the city
Went for a nice hike along the Devonian Trail! (Attempted to walk to Tucker’s Field, and ended up just walking alongside a road... it wasn’t so much a trail at that point) It was a nice change of pace from the city atmosphere and it’s not too far away. Would recommend going for a nice day trip to take a breather. They also have picnic tables available for use.
Excellent place to start your first gold panning adventures, or to sluice/highbank as a hobbyist for some good deposits. Easy to find off the 60. The road is rather bumpy, so take it easy if driving any sort of camper. Biggest downside is that it is within the municipality of Devon, so the riverside isn't crown land and can't be used for overnight camping. However... Just a little west on the 627 you will find all sorts of Range Roads to access the riverside from.
