“I would recommend these guys very highly indeed. Very friendly, reliable and good value for the full service of design and construction. They also have some really creative and interesting ideas which I have seen work in large gardens and also made the very most of our own smaller space.” Mark

Chris and the team proposed to 'live in the garden for a few days' and set about clearing 3 skips worth of jungle, weeds, old concrete and 3 ponds, before consulting with us on some design ideas. The Fertile Ground Team transformed an over ground disaster area into our dream garden. The quality of the workmanship and the finish of every detail was first class. They were always polite, courteous and a pleasure to deal with. We can't recommend Fertile Ground highly enough. Steve & Julie McConnell, St Albans

Word of caution. I asked this company to come out and quote. I had money waiting and wanted to move quickly. I was told to wait over a week for a quote which, when it didn't materialize, I followed up. First I was told that i needed to wait a bit longer (it was not apparently as simple as that) and then was told they thought 'that I was only asking them as a back up quote' (what that meant I don't know, isn't it usual practice to seek quotes for jobs and I was NOT simply going through the motions here). Then, when I asked if they wanted to quote or not, was told that 'they' had discussed it and they actually had no intention of quoting. AT LAST WE GET TO THE TRUTH! So, 10 days on, having expected progress at least, I was no further forward. I don't know why people in this kind of industry do not have the integrity or decency to be up front. I'm a grown up, I can handle the truth - being as busy as anyone (full-time working mother) what I cannot handle is being messed around and my time wasted. Shame on you.
