Lara is awesome! My husband and I took a birth class with her. It was fun and informative, especially for my husband. We both feel a lot more prepared for our upcoming homebirth. I couldn't recommend her enough!

I highly recommend Lara and Holistic Family Doulas! Lara was so easy to talk to right from the start. She is down to earth and takes a lot of pride in her work. She provided excellent support from day 1 and it continued even post-partum. She is knowledgeable, experienced, and comforting, which is exactly what you want. My husband and I were so thankful for her support throughout labor. Even the nurses took the time to tell me what a great doula she was!
Lara helped me so much before and during my labor. She provided a ton of info of what to expect which was especially helpful for my partner. She came and offered reflexology and reiki when I was 39 weeks and struggling. And she was super helpful during my labor not only with pain management but helping me advocate for myself with the medical staff and making the best decisions for myself. I don’t know if I could have stuck with my medication free birth plan without her. I would highly recommend and would work with her again in the future!
My family will I will never ever be able to thank Lara enough for her help and guidance through not only birth but my pregnancy too. My due date was May 10 2020 smack dab in the middle of pandemic lock downs. In March when the world was shutting down and we didn’t know what hospitals were going to look like I called Lara sobbing I was so scared and asked her what we could do and if home birth was an option and she immediately and confidently said yes! She put me in touch with my midwife and we quickly decided that was the route we were going. Fast forward to my due date I still had not gone into labor. Lara constantly reminded me of my goals and even when I was ready to give up and ask my dr to induce me she calmly reminded me to be patient. During my birth Lara was amazing she came to my house during early labor which quickly progressed. She talked to my midwife to encourage her to arrive quickly. Lara also worked with my husband when things got tough and reminded him to stay calm for me. She also made sure he ate and drank and was ok during it all!! be able to thank her enough!! If we expand our family she will be my first phone calls
Lara is absolutely amazing! Covid threw my birth plan off really bad last minute. I decided i wanted to do a home birth around 35 or so weeks. I didnt even know where to turn so I started googling doulas near me and found HFD. I called Lara and she was so warm and welcoming and gave me a number for a midwife. Meeting Lara was the best experience, she welcomed us right in! It was like we had known eachother forever! She helped coach and educate my partner who had no idea what he was in for with a home birth or a birth in general Without lara, none of this would have ever been possible! Lara went on to be the one who caught my baby in the pool when he was born We cant thank you enough Lara and we will definitely never forget you, and our wonderful, crazy unique experience! If you need a doula, you will not regret working with Lara and Holistic Family Doulas.
