I have had numerous deeply moving spiritual experiences here and am impressed with the volunteer work and social justice involvement partitioners do. A pastor who had a history of missionary work with local Native Americans started a tradition of a yearly Harvest mass with Gitcitwa Kateri Catholic Church. Knowing this other parish enriched my life.

Decided I would try this church one more time. Went to the 10:00 PM Christmas mass. When a retired father walks in. I recognized him from a separate church. With him giving mass it was better. After the mass I went to speak to him about how this church dose certain things. He did say this mass is valid. You can change certain things just not others. This place is known for its outreach and soical justice work. It is friendly however in my opinion I do believe it tries to bring in the parishioners believe a little to hard, to the left. Since it is in more of a liberal neighborhood and Fr. Paul should and needs to be involved in the mass a lot more. It would be better to keep politics for after mass. And not try to blend it in with the mass. The announcements should be kept until the mass is officially over. To each their own. This is just how I feel. I will say it is one of if not most friendly Catholic churches. More Catholic churches need to be this friendly!

Affirming and progressive Catholic Church. Lots of options for how to attend Mass with kids. Quietly queer friendly. Always seems to be something interesting happening.
