Use to be a great paper but even the online version isn't that great anymore. I have a print subscription and a bin on my property for my newspaper but the carrier just throws it in the gutter or my driveway where it gets soaked and in the winter gets buried by snow. Sometimes I end up running it over with my vehicle since it is in my driveway. I'm probably not going to renew my subscription since half the time my print paper is soggy, damaged, or buried in snow. It doesn't seem to be asking much to have my newspaper placed in the protective newspaper bin instead of my driveway or gutter.

Good journalism, but save yourself the money. Do not purchase a print subscription as you have to beg and plead for delivery. I paid for a subscription and didn't receive my paper. Emailed the print administrator and got it Once. Tried calling and got an automated system with no option to reach a live person. System said a replacement would be delivered. It never was. If you really want to support them, do the online subscription. Maybe it's time for this newspaper circulation to end and focus on digital efforts.
DO NOT BECOME A CARRIER FOR THEM! They charge you for insurance, yes cheap but they will never help you with any expenses car related. They try to take advantage of new people, my son worked for them and they suck you into a bs contract and you must give a 30 day notice to quit or guess what? They’ll charge you !!!! Not a job for teams or even any adult who NEEDS to make money. If you just want money then apply as a carrier. If you need to pay for things follow my advice and look elsewhere! Wish this thing has a ZERO STAR. Rating!
I'm really getting Fed Up. We have been getting the paper for 10 yrs here. Once upon a time we had a Great delivery person. But the last 3 years have been a Nightmare. Papers Constantly in the gutter literally Last winter we thought we wasn't getting them half the time just to see once the snow melted off it was thrown in the snow. I've made Several requests to have the paper put on the porch I even called every day for a month requested to talk to managers with no call back I was told over and over again they would report it and when I called back No Notes No Requests in the system or that the delivery person is a private/indapendant agent so they can only make suggestions to them but they couldn't force them to do anything... here it is winter and I have to go to the Gutter to look for my paper. This is a Huge Joke! Im So Fed Up!
Okay paper but the website sucks. Now they set up a paywall and you can only view 3 articles. I have a paid subscription but my account information isn't working so I cannot associate my account with the website and get stopped by the paywall despite being a print subscriber since my account is "inactive" despite having a current subscription.
Love standard examiner they're super helpful and on top of things when you need it... may the Newspaper never die
Huge "Yellow Flag" when 95% of the 5 STAR reviews have no comments. I am giving them a 1 star. The first reason, auto dialing me every week and not giving me an option to opt out of your auto dial. The second reason, when I finally call the office and find out I have an account with them with an amount owing. So, for over a month I get a call every few days not explaining that I have an account or a balance… and I only hear a recording with just a plea for me to subscribe. I admit I signed up for the 3-month subscription with no commitment to get a free hat Christmas eve in the Mall. i received 3 or 4 newspapers delivered in January and that was it. I did not mind, I truthful only signed up to get a hat. Then phone call after phone call; what a racket to keep harassing me until I call you back and you tell I owe money. That business model was over 3 decades old and has never won customer loyalty. Are you really that desperate to stay alive? Desperate enough to trick us into a subscription? I guess just as desperate enough to get the cool Pokémon hat for my son, but I'm just glad that I don't try to provide for my family, or my employees families by trickery and deceit. Come on Standard Examiner… get out of the gutters, step up to the plate and start swinging for the fence. What value do you bring to the market? Define it, craft it, and then present or communicate it in a way that will attract us to your offerings. “That is all I have to say about that”
Our carrier does a phenomenal job. Paper is always on the porch although I've never asked for porch delivery. I subscribe to The Standard because I like to stay informed about news that is relevant to my city.
