This trail was quiet. It's as Goldilocks says, \just right\. Some rather level areas with open wooded spaces, some good rocky areas, and some up hill climbing. The water tires it all together through out better than half. You can add on more mileage by combining trails was we did.

Amazing trail! Well marked and we'll tended to. Weather was a little wonky, but that's to be expected this time of year. Falls were spectacular. Definitely go clockwise on the loop, counter clockwise you have to hike up a huge mountain, plus all the good views are in the beginning with not much to look at for the second half of the trail going this way. Ample parking. Bathrooms and gas station close by.
This is a very well worth it trip from where ever you are coming. Slightly rugged, but you are well connected to nature here. The falls are absolutely awesome. The trails are well marked too
Great place for a hike. Appropriately named Dark Hollow Falls, because the falls are in a valley that gets dark much earlier than sunset. The other thing to keep in mind is that it's the opposite of a mountain hike. Here... You go down first, into the valley. It's the walk BACK that's uphill. Other than that... It's a gorgeous waterfall hike. The ground can get a little muddy in the wet weather, so be prepared. The parking at the trail head also gets very full very quickly on popular days, so drive and walk carefully.
Easy hike down to a great view of the falls. Steep incline and many steps coming back up. Good workout! Would not recommend for very young children unless you are able to carry them if needed; rocks are not conducive to strollers.
