One would think that paying rent to these uncaring slumlords would entail the basic things that come with it, such as water...but this is not the case with Carter Land Company. They raise the price of rent while doing absolutely nothing to maintain the well that supplies water to their tenants. Tenants, by the way, that have children or are elderly and/or disabled. You'll wake up one morning with water and then come home to no water with no warning from them and then they duck your calls. I sincerely hate these people and everything they stand for.

I've lived in Donna Lynn Mobile Home Community in Dallas, NC for 17 years now. Carter Land Company became the owners about 5 or 6 years ago and it got so much worse in such a short amount of time. I'm thankful that I own the home I'm in and only have to pay lot rent to this trainwreck of a company. When they took over, not only did they implement ridiculous rules, but they also jacked the price of rent up while doing absolutely nothing to improve the quality of the neighborhood. I'm currently on my fifth day with little to no running water and have heard nothing from the owners or management. There have been trees down in the neighborhood (two of which fell into homes) for close to two months now. They patched up potholes with mulch last year. Yes, you read that correctly: mulch. It lasted a day or two before a rain storm washed it out, as anyone with common sense would expect. They've since been filled with gravel (duh) but only a few, as there are still numerous potholes throughout the neighborhood. I'm just some guy with cats that keeps to himself, but there are elderly and disabled people here and families with children going without running water for days and Carter Land Company doesn't seem to really care. The neighborhood was so much nicer when the owner lived on-site, instead of fifty miles away. It was better when the owner was your neighbor and saw you as a neighbor, instead of a slumlord that views you as the saps that you have to pay rent to for not even the most basic of living conditions.

Unreal wish I could post half star or none. This lady or ladies play games with people. Making agreements and then every time at the finalizing. It changes as if you had not talked and agreed previously. You don’t make agreements over the phone to actually mean and present something different at a signing. Idk if they thought I would just agree to something as if I would not check with my husband or read what I was signing. What a joke. Will be so glad to not have a dealings with these people who are doing people wrong. As I have found they are having tax issue as well seems under 2 business names

They are very lucky to even get the 1 & that's because that's the lowest it would let me go! Don't get me wrong they make the places look half decent before you actually pay the rent and deposit then everyone gets the middle finger!! These people are very unprofessional the owners laurin carter makes threats that she will have you evicted all the time about unnecessary stuff! In the mean time your living in her trailer park to where her employees that work for her are selling drugs and she won't do anything about, not to mention her houses/trailers are NOT UP TO CODE in any way shape or form!!! I have a one year old son and we found out there was BLACK mold in the walls and on our ceiling and she told me to spray it with "bleach" && it will die!! My son was sick the whole time we lived there ! My heating furnace went out in the dead middle of winter when it was 10 degrees or below and she refused to fix a thing!!!! But mind you she says she "LOVES" children but my son woke up and it was 45 degrees in our home!! The people she has work on the homes don't have any license to do ANY of the work and they even try to charge you cash upfront before fixing THEIR PROBLEM!!! Send me people to my home to cause problems where my son lays his head down at night!! These people are NIGHTMARES!!! I wouldn't make my worst enemy live in their mold infested with no heat Homes!! STAY AWAY FROM CARTER LAND COMPANY PROPERTIES !!! They will treat you like the trash that THEY are !! && if you can't tell that the first time you meet the owner laurin carter and the property manager Wanda Pay a little more attention because they WILL get over over you take all your money then some and leave you with nowhere to go!!!

Omg I wish I would have looked at the review before I let them trick me out of my tax money I was told I could have my dog by the owner of the park and I have been here three days and now my dog is a problem and they are going to start eviction I don't know what to do
