We have lived here for nearly a year and this has become our preferred bakery for pastries. I come almost every Saturday morning and the ladies are always very helpful and polite. I recommend you arrive before 9 for maximum selection.

Earlier today my wife and 11 year old son walked to the bakery with our two dogs. Both were on a leash...while my wife was inside two bulldogs ran out from behind the establishment and began attacking our dogs (one of which is 12 years old). The bald headed man with an orange shirt (who owns the dogs) came and watched it unfold but did nothing but watch. My son fought his heart out to protect his companions while my wife was inside until someone inside stated there were dogs fighting. My wife terrified ran outside and began tearing them apart...while the man did nothing, not even calling his dogs. My wife then called me out of breath and in fear for me to come and when I arrived the man scurried off without so much an apology or checking to see if everything was ok. I went and found him (I can speak German) and told him to come out so we could come to a resolution. He began following me and stopped while muttering. He instead got his brother that owned the bakery. He came out and stared and after some discussion he said he would pay the doctor's bill if one came. Also people across the street gave my wife their number to identify themselves as witnesses if needed. The baker and his brother never once apologized and in regards to the orange man we never saw him again. Beware of this \fantastic\ bakery. We are taking our son for medical evaluation and you can see the pictures below.
We have tried several bakeries in Rheinland Pfalz and Bavaria and Feil in Steinwenden is the absolute best!

Gute Backwaren. Bester Kuchen und Kaffeestückchen, und die Frauen im Verkauf relativieren die mürrische Art der Chefs. Danke dafür! Abzug gibt es für das immer wirklich dreckige Schaufenster. Dürfte oder sollte nicht sein.
