Not as good as it seems. Have been there for 4 years to complete two apprenticeships 1st course (1 year course) - went through 3 tutors who would just copy and paste the syllabus from One File into a power point which was found online. Tutors didn't know what was in the presentation, so was just reading from the board all the time. Coursework took ages to be marked. Due to all the switching with tutors, course took 2 years to complete instead of 1. 2nd course (2 year course) - Currently on my 2nd tutor for this course. 1st tutor would never read the course material before the session, so they had no idea what they were talking about. Ask a question and they would brush off the question or tell you to look it up on Google. Was the same with course work, as a question told to look it up on Google. 1st tutor left and gave us a weeks notice, then had no tutor for 3 months. Called the college for an update, but the person who deals with it always happened to be away. Asked to leave a message but never get a response. Finally get a new tutor, who tells me the exam board won't accept my coursework or other exams completed. Was told my first tutor had taught us incorrectly. So having to resubmit all my coursework ready for completion this year.

I did an Extended Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science at NHC. Finished in July, 2015. I found the course content was delivered really well by the teachers, There are lessons for independent learning which are useful for students that just want to get on with their assignments. The teachers are friendly and sociable. As an older than average student at this college, i was more independent which is probably why i thrived and succeeded here. Qualified with a triple distinction, thanks to the help and guidance from tutors.

Julie is great. She is a very hard worker and head of the Access department. I was a student and achieved because of the amazing job her and the other staff do.
