What a fantastic pub! Beautiful location, very friendly staff and amazing food! Can't wait to come in the summertime as they have a huge amount of outside seating.

Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Views from the garden over looking the stream were a fantastic way to enjoy dinner out on a sunny autumn evening

Only reason they don't get 4/5 stars is because they tried to seat me in a window sill that was about 2 foot from the ground that I physically could not get my legs under. If you are sat at a regular table I'm sure you will have a lovely time. The food was pretty good so I can't fault that.

Lovely setting but my ploughman's lunch very poor. Slimy ham, I would definitely say cheap pork pie, and served with toast? Very odd. Definitely wouldn't have ordered if I knew it came with toast.

Came to the mayfly for a Sunday afternoon and wasn’t disappointed! Amazing food, hats off to the chef! The lemon sole was Devine. Very well organised with the current situation we are all in. We were served by Isobel whom was delightful and gave us excellent service. Will be coming again very soon

A great pub in a beautiful setting, right next to the river Test. It's just had a major refit and it looks stunning! The food was lovely, very well cooked and nicely presented. The service was excellent too, all the staff were very friendly. We were sat in the conservatory which had a view of the river. They have lots of fly fishing knick knacks around, adding to a great atmosphere. They have live music the last Saturday of every month. It'll be great in the warmer months as there is plenty of outdoor seating and nice views of the river. I'll definitely be going back!
