Great place to check out what swedish explorers brought back from their expeditions: scary idols, puppets, weapons etc. There was also a great photo exhibition when I had my visit there. And it's all for free! Exhibition is not the biggest, but it's just alright for you not to get bored and tired.
Not a museum I like. Very dark, to compact.
Many things to see, but displacing everythings all at once seems degraded their value and the experience! The best thing is free entrance!
very fun, recommend going to tekniskamuséet afterwards.
Amazing and very impressive collection of artifacts brought back from all over the world by Swedish travellers. Museum is free and has A LOT to see. The items are arranged not by origin, but by material, which is a weird choice I think - glass items from all over the world together, feather artifacts together, bronze together etc.
Really liked the focus of the exhibitions, but carrying a notebook around to access the info in english is not very comfortable :(
The Museum is for those who want to admire a completely different, non-European culture. Bonus – almost complete absence of other visitors. There are temporary exhibitions and events on the calendar, check on the website. Admission is free.
