Went here with my parents for a cheap roast! Can't complain the food was really good. About 8 per head here which is quite good really. I only give it 4 stars as I think it needs a little more "organisation!" The staff were a little absence if u get me. Tho did nothing wrong in particular so I can't say much! Overall a great place to go for a nice meal.

Very good carvery. Crown seem to offer the lowest price for this type of meal. Service is normally good too. Yesterday Paul gave us a particularly good lunch experience. He saw that three of us were accompanying my three year old granddaughter. When we sat down he presented her with crayons and some sheets to colour and as she wasn't very hungry, he offered us a spare plate so she could just share our meal. The bar had non spill carton drinks for children. Throughout the meal, Paul was attentive and humorous and he made little Daisy laugh. We all had an excellent time.

Has limited Sunday food menu. However this was not spoiled. The carvery was excellent and plenty of vegetables meats to choose from. Condiments ran out but staff were happy to refill. Staff were jolly in service and atmosphere. This pub/carvery was one of the better ones I have been in. After food we went outside and it was still clean and tidy.

Really good Carvery, unlimited veg and potatoes and for the price 4.89 can’t go wrong, even the kids can eat for 1 on a Sunday

Simple but cheap carvery food. Low ceiling and simple decor makes for a dark but pleasant interior. You're encouraged to return for second helpings but as such you risk contamination with the less considerate customer. They say they watch for this and I can bear witness that they do act if, say, some hillbilly snatches a handful of chips from the serving pot. IF they see it that is. Much of the time the staff aren't there to see.

i found the ambience to my taste, the staff most helpful and pleasant, and the real ale very well kept. A bril atmosphere, the locals were also friendly. Shortish visit, but will try the carvery next time. .

I visited here last Saturday with my family, we all really enjoyed it.The atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The only criticism I have is the food could have done with being a bit warmer, but it still deserves 5 stars. We will be visiting again. Thank you for your hospitality x
