Fantastic food with reasonable prices. Their dishes were amazing, freshly prepared with love and care while served in beautiful arrangement. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here and would strongly recommend this for families or a group of hungry friends looking for some amazing Peranakkan food with fantastic variety and choice. Their desserts were superb too! Highly recommended!

Great service, nice food, especially like the cendol, otak, ngoh hiang. Call in the day before mentioned the booking is for birthday celebration, and the nice manager there prepared a 九層糕 as complimentary birthday cake which mean 步步高升,really very thoughtful, and the 九層糕was very yummy too

I was in a party of six when we visited the restaurant on 11/4/21 and we ordered those dishes recommended by your other reviewers. We had two pieces of otak2 and they were good - so were the Ayam buah keluak, ngo hiang, Assam fish, chendol and kueh2. The tow cheow in the chap-chye was inadequate. What was a major disappointment was the Bakwan Kepiting which was served in six individual bowls - the meat combination served in a half of a crab shell in each bowl was tasteless and so was the soup!! Being a true blue Peranakan, I should very well know the genuine taste of this dish and accepting that I should not compare that served in a restaurant to a home cooked version, I would have accepted it if that served had tasted just half as good.

Authentic or not I am not very sure as I am not the 1 to judge. But the food taste really good. The service is a top notch. Highly recommended to those working at Raffles place.

Right in the middle of the CBD, this restaurant serves authentic Nonya (Malay-Chinese) cuisine. Decor is simple reflecting the original straits chinese settings especially the marble tables. Food is good. but the coffee disappoints some. although served in thick coffee cups of yesteryears, but the taste is lacking the strong butter roasted aroma.

Had a good dinner here with fish head curry, buah keluk, go heong and kueh. The service was good. There is good value 1 for 1 lunch promotion on going.

Straits Chinese Nonya Restaurant seems to be the oldest Nonya food in Singapore. It may explain the Cecil street location. It has a good selection of the classical Nonya foods but also some traditional Chinese dishes. Their cooking is good and the restaurant with a kind of traditional atmosphere. Since good Nonya food is getting rare it is certainly recommended.
