There’s always one or more people not wearing masks in here but I risk my life and go in anyway cause the food is so good. It’s an eclectic selection of barbecue, fried rice and a whole bunch of other local stuff, plus a great seating area to relax. Long live New Star Market!

I live 15 minutes away at the base of Little North Mountain and am so fortunate to live so close to the New Star Market. It's where the locals go to get the best damn barbecue, chicken, and ribs in the Shenandoah Valley. A fully stocked, family owned and operated market. Prices are low, staff is courteous, and the market has a huge variety of goods. Check this little gem out as you pass thru our beautiful Valley, you won't be sorry !!!

Fate would have it that Craig recovered by fallen bike. I'm forever grateful, thank you. By chance we discovered a true destination stop on our way to Deep Creek and Thomas, WVA. Super cool spot with a Zen porch, excellent smoked BBQ, homemade baked goods and homemade kimchi. Great vibe, warm folks. A must stop from now on, whether we need gas or not!!

Phenomenal customer service at this exceptional Shell station with a robust Country Store that has anything you could possibly need for your road trip or casual stop. Paul's onsite smoked BBQ is out of this world! And they even have ice cream too with plenty of outdoor seating. A great spot for solo travelers and families alike to chill out and stock up on provisions.
