Back in March, just as Lockdown began, I chipped a Tooth. Dental Surgeries across the Country closed , so I couldn’t get it repaired. As the Months went on, I self medicated as no Appointments were being offered. Fast forward to August and my Tooth became Painfully sore and day by day got worse. I have since mid August been trying to get what was now going to be an Extraction, Pain was taking over my life. No sleeping, just napping between pain. Two weeks ago I spoke to a wonderful Receptionist at this Dental Surgery and was given an emergency appointment for the 28th, they are so incredibly busy now. It was the best they could do. So I kept self medicating. And last Sunday I was rushed to ER with a Heart rate of 215 Possible cause Pain and Dehydration or Ibuprofen/Paracetamol overdose. My Heart rate was brought down and I was allowed out Sunday night. Today(Monday) I rang this practice in Tears. Desperate and sobbing. And I really am not a person that makes a fuss. But I was at my wits end and scared that I would have to cope again for another week. I spoke again to another lovely lady on the phone and had a follow up call with a Dentist, Who again explained how hard seeing people was at this time of Covid. I really lost hope and broke down again. I explained that my Dental Pain had caused a visit to the Hospital and he made no promises, but said if an appointment came up. He would get back to me. I had a call 2 hours later. And I’m just back from having my Tooth pulled. And I have got to say. It was Better than Christmas and My Birthday!! The Lady Dentist that did the Extraction and the Dental Nurse were absolutely Amazing. I have never left a review on anything, but today I was blown away by the kindness and Gentle caring way in which they delt with me. And wanted to express my Gratitude and I will definitely be changing my Dentist to this Practice Just a massive Thank you , to everyone that helped me get rid of the Excruciating pain.

I called this practice as I had broken a tooth which I knew would need to come out. After going online and through the 111 website it advised to speak to a dentist within six hours. Having only moved to the area recently I hadn't yet registered with a dentist practice, and so had to call to arrange an emergency NHS consultation. The dentist called me back inside an hour, and we did a phone consultation, asking questions not just about the injury, but also about my general health and regular medications. As I wasn't in pain they couldn't get me in straight away, but they did arrange for me to go in the next available appointment, and took payment over the phone; as an NHS patient I paid the standard emergency charge. I was given instructions on how to arrive in a covid-19 safe way. Having had a previous bad experience at a practice, I was slightly nervous as I went in for the tooth extraction, but i had no need; the dentist and dental nurse were both lovely and talked me through everything before they did anything. I couldn't be happier with the work and the team.
Probably the rudest dentist I have ever spoken to in my life. Horrible man!
I signed up as an NHS patient and had a root canal there. I have intermittent pain every few weeks / months (understandable, it can happen). What isn't understandable is why they never contacted me to either remind me I needed an appointment to keep up my NHS status, or to tell me they had dumped me off their system after 2 years of not seeing them. I only found out because I called them when I needed treatment for pain from the original procedure, and now I don't have a dentist!
Very disappointing went in needing 8 fillings apparently (one dentist told me) one being a broken tooth. Left it longer than normal due to personal issues. Went back was told I need 4 by a rude female dentist. I went back to get the broken tooth sorted. I went in a little nervous asking what she was going to do with that tooth. And she rather angrily stated \ no that's too complicated \ and said she was doing other fillings I didn't even know where she didn't say. She then continued to numb my 'face' not tooth and gums my face! She injected twice into my cheek and my cheek went numb upto my eye I could still feel my tooth and the area around it. So she did two fillings in one go. Again I wasn't told and it hurt so badly she got very frustrated with me when I was moaning in pain. Never have I been treated like this. She offered more pain meds but put it in the same place so my eye lid went numb not the inside of my mouth. She was rude and unpleasant when I was clearly nervous. I still have a painful broken tooth I need out. But have been too scared to get it done. Obviously I will be going to another dentist.
