Quite an intimidating lock.sadly the portage with canoe meant walking down a rough path to Siemenstrade where the lockeeper found me and gave me a lift to the entry point,a big thanks guys!

Not really a place to visit, but if passing when a boat is going through then worth a stop. These locks are vast and the large commercial boats impressive.
