Ice a little bumpy at times, need to run the zamboni machine to smooth it out more often. Apart from that the place ia fairly empty so lots of space to skate. Love the cool inside, a change from the heat outside. It's the only place to ice skate in Chiang Mai, the kids like to come here every few weeks for a skate.

There is only one ice skating ring in Chiangmai. And there are not many people usually. They change name from Sub Zero to Chiangmai Ice Arena, changed some stuff but equipment and interior didn’t change. We like to spend weekends with family there. Hope Ice Arena will improve their management and more people start to visit this place.

Taught my son the basics of ice skating here! Staff was very friendly and welcoming. They provide all the helmets, pads, and skates as well as a penguin to keep your little person upright. We went around noon and were only joined by four other people on the ice.

The employee was not nice on telling us what discounts were available, and the rink was dirty and had a slope down on the edges of the rink.

The ice is okay, I didn't see puddles like some of the other reviews mentioned, but there is a slighy gap between the end of the ice and the boards. For the only ice rink in Chiang Mai it's not too bad. The rental skates are pretty bad, some of them aren't sharp and some are cross-ground. For hockey players, they do have sessions at 8pm, not sure which days. Overall pretty good experience and the staff are nice. The rink is located on the 3rd floor of the mall.

The rink at Central Festival shopping mall has changed management last month, and it currently holds a policy which states that if one would like to use it's facilities for figure skating, one must sign a one year contract that costs 180000 baht. I find it disappointing that the management team has made such a decision as not only does it make the rink seem elitist, it essentially prevents the average Thai family from allowing their children who might develop an interest in the sport to ever having a chance to persue the sport. This is the only ice rink in Chiang Mai, and this act of monopoly is frankly quite disgusting. Furthermore, to charge people an upfront fee of 6000 at this rink is laughable as the facilities are all sub-par in quality at best. This rink hasn't the slightest idea about ice maintenance, as most of the time the rink is more like a giant puddle. Their Zamboni machine looks ancient, and it actually does virtually nothing to resurface the ice. Finally, the staff they hire are completely oblivious to anything to do with ice skating-- rental skates are horribly maintained, nobody knows a thing about sharpening skates, there are no safety staff on the ice, ever. Highly not recommend.

Nice ice skating place but compared to other ice skating rinks the iceskates provided are lower quality which makes it difficult/slippery to skate

Nice place for the kids/adults to try and learn ice skating. They have both individual coaches and group classes.
