Purchased a hot water tank and furnace from this company for a townhouse that we recently bought. There were several issues with the quality of the install of the furnace including: - The installer spilled some kind of black greasy substance on our laundry room floor. The stain has faded somewhat, but the area remains slippery. - Electrical wires were sloppily arranged, I had to remind the company owner that he had committed to cleaning these up and ensuring that they were neatly arranged. - The installers did not clean up after themselves whatsoever. A while later we had a hot water tank installed and again we had issues: - The hot water tank had been installed with the inlet (cold) and outlet (hot) water connections backward. This resulted in us not being able to completely fill a bathtub with hot water. The installer in this case was an apprentice. The owner claimed that he reviewed the work done by the apprentice, but if that were the caseI'm not sure how you would miss that the install was not done correctly. - There were multiple drops of purple PVC primer on the linoleum in the mechanical room. I reported this to the owner and he immediately agreed to replace the flooring. After he came back to correct the hot water tank install he changed his mind on the basis that the floor was not in that great of condition anyways. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience with this company. They were difficult to get a hold of to arrange appointments or speak with. I encourage anyone looking to hire a mechanical company to look further than GPH.
We hired Gordon Hayman of GPH Mechanical to replace our humidifer and found him to be very knowledgeable and dependable. He delivered a reliable quote and a great job.
