We came to this place because a friend told me about this place, so we decided to give it a try. We were impressed! The place is quite nice, the scenery is nice, so is the service! We enjoyed EVERYTHING! We're had to make sure that we're tried the deserts too. Being half Filipino, brings me back to when I was a kid tasting the buns. The buns are pillow soft with a sweet taste. Don't be afraid to ask about the menu & or change things. They're very helpful in helping you choose the right meal.

Fusion done right!!! These guys know what they’re doing. The Baos are creative and super yummy. My favorites are the Angry Bird and Pork Belly. The Sumo Fries are disgustingly delicious, too. So unique. Sober or wasted, it doesn’t matter... This place rocks!
My photos look sad but this place was really delicious! The bao were delicious too. A definite must try if your a ramen lover.
Food came out really quickly and was delicious - don't miss the sumo fries (chili cheese fries) and the Tokyo dog. The guy at the front counter was awesome and really helped decipher the menu.
Very unique finds and flavors. The bao are delicious and dough has a satisfying sweetness. I got an crab and fish bao and shrimp they tasted very clean. The Sumo fries are an interesting combo with a savory miso chili, nacho cheese and shredded nori. The hot chicken bao has an satisfyingly flavor with the American cheese and pickles while the Hamburg bao has a interesting twist to an American classic. The only complain is there isn't an vegetarian option aside from fries. But we'll have to come back and try their ramen.
This place has fun food! I ordered several different Bao to try upon the suggestion of a coworker, they were all pretty good. Will come back to bring my family, I think they will like it.
Nice twist on the typical bao buns. I really enjoyed the fish and shrimp baos. The balance of ingredients worked very well in these baos.
I don't deal out 5-Stars lightly, but this place was fantastic. When Sumo Shack opened I just assumed it was another "kinda so-so" fast asian cuisine. I'm stuffing my foot in my mouth now. Which isn't nearly as delicious as this new spot for bao fusion. The food? Excellent. This place almost immediately shot up to my top favorites in Dallas after stopping by to try a few items with a friend so that we got a nice 'spread'. I want to go back and try the entire menu at this point. The Takoyaki was delicious (I've tried takoyaki everywhere, this tasted fresh and authentic). The Tokyo Dog had such an interesting flavor profile and my friend had to go back for seconds. I'm absolutely in love with the bao-used-as-a-taco concept and recommend the Pork Belly Bao for those dipping their toes in, though I got to try a bite of the Angry Bird Bao and that was great too. There are many other flavors to try, along with dessert bao! I haven't gotten to try the ramen yet, but it looks very authentic. In general, everything was very clearly fresh and very reasonably priced. On Fridays and Saturdays they are open until 4am, so I can see this being a great place to just stop and have a bite to hang out with friends after a night out. I highly recommend the Green Tea margarita too. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very courteous. The bartender was fantastic and completely on point. The restaurant itself? Cool art, really relaxed, inviting vibe. Completely clean from tip to toe with a visibly clean open-kitchen. They open up the bar on both sides during the night for barside service at the patio. It was beautiful and a great place for a date. I hope this place does well. It's nice to see a lot of care and thought put into a menu clearly aiming to bring something 'new' the the area. Stop by and try it. You won't be disappointed.
