Great cozy movie theater
We love the Opera House. It's quaint, cozy and simply neat. The lighting inside the building is beautiful and the trusses are spectacular. The snack bar is small and has a good selection for the kids and a glass of wine for me. There is a water fountain inside the theater for drinks. The whole experience is wonderful.
We love the clear view you get from anywhere in the theater. Even from the front row. The place has a great old time vibe we love too! If only modern day theaters could bring back the charm of The Sun Valley Opera House we could all take a journey back to the good old days!! Enjoy
Fun little theater in Sun Valley. Nice that they have a small beer and wine selection. It would be fun if they did a bit more in the food selection as well, would give it more of a "dinner and a movie" feel, but overall, a great place to spend an evening.
If you're visiting Sun Valley or Ketchum Idaho this is one place that you should try and visit. Check out a movie or look online to see if there is any live entertainment because this is a venue that is used for lots of different things. The seats are still old-fashioned and the building itself is historical so you won't find reclining seats but the Acoustics are very good and the building is definitely worth seeing. During festivals this is usually one of the venues that is most quaint and cozy and enjoyable.
