Tried a Basil Leaf Pork Rice (pad ka prao) at the popular Thai Food. Portion is ok for RM7. It lacks basil fragrance (basil expensive here), spiciness and the strong smell of Thai food. Don't expect authentic Thai food. The foamy cham beng is not bad.
Fish meat sour soup with rice is delicious and cheaper,Wantan mee also delicious and cheap
Quite surprise to see many people queue up at Thai food stall. I also noticed most tables in this food court also ordered thai food. Therefore we gave it a try. Tomyum fried rice come with 5 pcs of chicken. Huge portion and enough for 2 persons sharing. RM8 indeed very cheap. Taste wise, so so only. Slightly above average. Better taste added with chilli (dark red in pic). We suspect most people come for this food because of value for money. Pork chop rice set was also good. Marinated nicely. But s bit too sweet to my liking. The chilli (red colour pic) also too sweet. Apart from pork, with salad and egg, at RM8 good value! We also ordered seaweed soup from the stall next to it. RM4 per bowl was definitely value for money. Our dinner was in fact too full. Diffuclt to find in Penang island such a deal at RM20 in total bill
if u had a day off and u had nothing to do but wasting time this is really good place to be rather than home...sit back relax and order nuch thai food they are the definition of text book for wasting other people time
Delicious food, friendly boss with nice service, reasonable price
