I really wanted to love this place, but the pizza was bland at best. We drove 8 miles because of the reviews here, and were excited to order a small "The City" combo. While the crust was genuinely amazing and delicious, the most flavorful thing on the pie were the olives. The pepperoni had no flavor at all, seriously NO flavor, we even pulled pieces off to taste directly and we wouldn't even know it was pepperoni were it not for the color and shape. The sausage is some kind of shredded...pork I guess?, but it had no flavor either. We thought something was wrong with our taste buds, but we kept trying and tasting individual ingredients to find flavors. We tried, but couldn't claim the pie was anything more than a basic pizza...at an above market price. I liked the collection of beers and cider at the shop, and the team truly cares about their pizza making, but I highly recommend taking the ingredient quality up several notches for the price charged. But please keep making that wonderful crust! REVIEW UPDATED 31 Jan 2021: Thanks for the feedback, Kirk, but no we don't have Covid and our taste buds are just fine. I provided some constructive feedback on the lack of flavor in your pizza pie, and gave it a generous 3*, but you don't seem to want to take ownership of improving the product and instead dump FUD on your reviewer. Pretty poor business practice, and no we won't be back. My guess is you're fine with that. Dropped this review to 1* for a fresh, bad customer experience. Best of luck.

A hidden gem in the area. We live very close to this place for years, but never been to this plaza. Tried it today to support local business and it turns out to be amazing pizza!! We tried personal size(10”) The City(combo) and Rockefeller (all meat). Both were great! It’s overloaded with topping, crust by the edge and soft dough in the middle. Also, they charged 18% during covid to support employee - appreciated! The price is higher than other chain pizza stores, the quality is totally different level! You cannot never go back to those chain stores when you tried this. Wish they can open during lunch time in future.

Pizza is good but some feedback for management for the store and setup during Covid. I arrived early because I wanted to eat my pizza hot and fresh. I paid and was told to wait outside which makes total sense. Since several people were getting their names called by speakerphone outside, I thought I would be told when to pick up by pizza. I waited patiently outside because I didn't want to crowd inside the store. 20 minutes later, I go in to check just in case and my pizza had been ready for quite some time and it was already lukewarm by then. I assume now that staff only calls names for individual pizzas, not whole pies. It would require very little additional effort to call out names, even once, for ALL orders, not just individual. Otherwise, if your want to make sure you get your pizza fresh out if the oven, you would need to re-enter the store multiple times to see when it's ready. In any event, for now, as a customer, make sure to go back periodically into the store to see when your pizza is ready if it isn't initially. Or is it a part of the experience to be assertive like a New Yorker to make sure you get your pizza when it's ready? That said, I bet this pizza is exceptional when fresh as lukewarm, it's still pretty damn good.

Our favorite pizza place. Make sure to order ahead though because on busy nights the wait can be long. They're really great about covid safety. Expensive when you compare it to a chain pizza but reasonable when you realize it's real pizza made with real ingredients and has a co-op ownership model. Support your local businesses

Very awesome thin crust pizza. Amazing menu, very simple to a little crazy, just kidding. Made to order your way with nice suggestions from staff. Can be busy but worth the wait. I like the atmosphere-subway, graffiti and open space. pizza is cheesy, salty, nice crust that is crunchy bottom with a slight pull on the gluten. You have to try it out especially if you are a non-NYer. Yummy yummy

Lives up to its name, unlike lots of other "new york pizza" places in the bay area. Pizza was ready pretty much exactly when they said it would be and they take covid safety seriously.

I moved to the Bay Area after being a life long NY resident. Sliced of NY has the most authentic NY pizza that I've found in this area. The thinness, chewy crust, and style of toppings remind me of home.
