Really interesting selection of wines with good bites of food. The cheese and charcuterie options are delicious. The real gem is the guy behind the bar. Ask for suggestions or talk to him about what you like and he offers up really delicious and interesting options you never would have tried otherwise. They also have tasting flights that are really reasonably priced for those of you who can't make up your minds!
Nice atmosphere. The workers are very knowledgeable about the wine. They have a create your own flight option which I really liked.
Excellent service with detailed description of wines. I only wished they had a larger list of reds. I was shocked to not see Spanish wines but most of them locals. Will definitely repeat as we enjoyed the tasting there.
my friend and i decided to come for a drink after flywheel, and about an hour later, it turned into a party when more folks came to join us. we got the happy hour oysters, which were 1.50 each and delicious. they were super plump and fresh. we then got the chicken liver mousse w/ toast points, and i ate like a loaf of bread while eating the mousse. there goes the spinning workout! this place is really nice and not busy at all. i think it would be nice if they played music a tad more loudly, b/c the ambience was a little sterile when we were there. it would be good to get some more excitement going.
Fabulous, cozy spot for wine and light snacks. You're in good hands if Theron is behind the bar. His suggestions are spot on.
City Place has an excellent variety of wines from around the world, at prices starting about 8. The staff is very knowledgeable about the wines they have. They let us taste a few before deciding on wines we wanted to order. The brunch is excellent on weekend mornings (particularly the french toast and tasty mimosas). We've had the chocolate truffles, which are small for the price, but very dense and all you need to go with the wine.
A little overpriced but the drinks are incredible. You cannot go wrong with anything you order and the staff is so knowledgeable. The empanadas are also delicious for a small snack. Otherwise grab a drink and head down the street to Peckish Pig for dinner. They have a good thing going on between the two establishments!
