Earlier today I received a request from a friend to help him load his band equipment into the hall for an event tonight. I arrived at the hall to find 2 police cars and a number of people in the parking lot. Thinking that perhaps some one of concern had gotten pulled over, I parked away from them and then walked towards the door. As I got closer a pretty large fellow asked \Can I help you\... good words but certainly a very aggressive tone. I advised that I was there to help a friend load in some band equipment . The big fellow became nastier in tone as he told me there was no event tonight. I was a bit confused and said that I had been told there was. He became angrier and said \There is no event. Get out!\ Clearly asking anything further was not wise so I left. I met up with my friend a short while later and he told me that the fellow who had signed the rental agreement had turned up having consumed some alcohol. Apparently the big fellow who had spoken to me had taken umbrage with this which is fair enough. Some of the other organizers had then arrived and offered to take charge and send the \under the influence\ person home. The big fellow did not take kindly to this and refused to allow the event to go on even though there was reportedly a full house of guests coming and food had been ordered for the event. If there are costs incurred, I hope the organizers file an action against the hall association. Clearly their representative needs some assistance to learn how to deal with people.

A good place to organize a party for 150 to 200 people, buffet can be arranged in separate place within the hall, ample of parking place for around 15 to 20 vehicles
