This Safeway has been here many years I worked in a couple places in this mall area about 40 years ago. I have always had good experiences and the staff are friendly with helping hands if needed. The produce and the fruit are always fresh and it is all clean shiny always stocked and just looks great on the displays.very much inviting.They keep their stores looking awesome and you can always find what you need.Great place to shop also to sit and enjoy a coffee or something to eat also All round great place to go.

Good Safeway location. One of the few that has a gas station where you can use the gas discounts. Be sure to get all your receipts when you do fill up, as there are more savings to be had!
This location truly has THE best staff. A number of long term employees ensure the store is clean and stocked well. It's almost impossible to walk by someone without a greeting or a "are you finding everything you need?". If you watch for the sales, it's no more costly than the other busier stores that are such a pain to get in and out of quickly. Thanks, Newton Safeway!
I usually use the pharmacy but the bakery is got some artisan level cakes and cookies. I love the strawberry cheesecake, but it's addicting. This place is nice because on a Saturday you don't have to wait in line behind 15 people, and their kale and apples are usually WAY cleaner than near by grocery stores.
Shop here often for my small purchases, staff are awesome! Super friendly, polite, and helpful. Very comfortable environment. Prices aren't very cheap, and I'm not a fan of their house brand but here they make up for it in environment.
It's going to 've replaced by a no frills store. I am so excited. Safeway is good no frills is better for me. I don't want to pay 18 dollars for orange juice.
This Safeway is always good for an adventure late at night. You never know who you might find drunk in the aisles or being thrown out of the bathroom half naked after loudly moaning for some time. This location adds to the classic shopping experience in a way only a grocery store in Newton could.The only thing keeping this location short of five stars is that I can never find an employee in the aisles when I need help finding something.
