My grandfather is a new resident. Today happens to be his birthday so I decided to call him since I can’t visit him. Well, I call and a less than pleasant woman named Linda answers the phone with zero enthusiasm about life and states she’ll try to connect me to his room. Then the phone hangs up. Ok, maybe we got disconnected. I called back and it rang so many times that it just hung up. Tried again with the same issue. Finally on the third attempt I reach Linda again. With an attitude she replies with “I’ll connect you” and once again I’m disconnected. At this point I’m very frustrated. When I called back I expressed that I don’t mean to be annoying but I’d like to speak with my grandfather. Without asking who or what floor or anything she says “I’ll connect you”. To who!? And now the phone is once again just ringing with no answer at the desk. I’d like to this she’s busy helping someone because the fact that I have to fight to speak to my grandfather is ridiculous!

I have been working at Sutton Hill Center for about five months now and I look forward to coming to work everyday! I work in the recreation department and our days are always filled with fun and exciting things to do with our residents! My director has been so helpful with my transition from independent living to skilled nursing, I learn something new everyday! I work with an amazing team that enjoys providing a great quality of life for our residents, which give me great purpose. Of course, we always get attached and lose loved ones, but here at Sutton Hill I have seen some of the mot respectful and loving departures that truly shows how much the staff here really care. I feel very appreciation and always have the support of my team.

My mother has been at Sutton Hill for over 2 years. They have been amazing to her. She suffers from dementia and it got to a point where I couldn't care for her at home any longer. Placing her at Sutton Hill was the hardest decision I ever had to make. Now she is happy and enjoys all the other residents and activities.

My family member lives at Sutton Hill and they really go all out at holiday times to make sure the residents experience a fantastic holiday. At Halloween, the lobby area looked amazing and very spooky. Thanksgiving, the holiday meals was delicious and now it looks like a winter wonderland for Christmas. I would highly recommend Sutton Hill.
