SCAM again ! What a shame , we have not seen previously the bad comments concerning this agency and we deeply regret now. Few days after giving back the car we have been charged the whole deposit for something we have not done. Please be careful and do not rent a car in this agency.
I had a great service and experience with Sixt Lofoten, which might sound unusual for a car rental company, but it was all down to having August serve me (the car was great as well). He was professional over both the encounters I had with him (picking up and returning) and it really made my day! It’s always a breath of fresh air to have a personable member of staff who is clearly passionate about their job and the task at hand. August went above and beyond and gave me local sites to see, places to eat, and just some general knowledge about how everything works in Norway. I won’t babble in, but I just felt compelled to write this review and hopefully he can get the recognition he deserves! If you read this August, thank you very much for your service and hospitality, and hopefully we can meet again one day in the future! (Great fashions sense too!)
Crooks. They have other reviews for similar issues. Never instructed me to inspect the car (I never have with Sixt), and upon returning home from vacation they emailed me about 3 minuscule "scratches" (they look like dirts from the photos they sent) underneath the front bumper. I wouldn't have noted these, even if I had been instructed to inspect the car upon pick-up. Somehow they determined the charge to fix the nonexistent marks was 900 bucks with no conversation about the matter. I have typically had good experiences with Sixt, but I will never be renting from them again.
A scam! When we were renting the car, we noticed scratches on the car but the person in charge told us not to worry about that. However, after our stay, we were contacted about scratches on the car and that we would probably be charged the 900 deposit. This is unacceptable! They're trying to rip off tourists who come to enjoy a stay at the lofotens. Do not rent from them!
Worst car rental experience ever! They pretended that we had created additional scratches beneath the car (some were already noted in the initial form) not only to keep the deposit but to even puncture further my credit card (25% more). Rotten cherries on the cake: When we arrived to pickup the car: - the body of the car was dirty (soiled with multiple gull droppings and fairly dusty), there were also mud stains in the inside - the reserved booster seat was not installed - the additional photos that we sent were never added to the agreement - etc.
Super professional. Especially the quality of service we recieved from the young employee named Julien. Very satisfied with the car and with the company.
