We hired Smart Choice Construction to renovate a 1950s bathroom in our home. Dimitri was on time, professional, patient and helpful. He might be one of the most organized people I have met or worked with in any capacity. The project was well-run and the final result is beautiful. We were very happy with the work and with our choice to hire Smart Choice Construction.

We hired Smart Choice Construction for a front porch remodel, and couldn't be happier with our choice. From the very beginning, Dimitri was polite, responsive and professional. He walked us through the entire project and got the job done on schedule and within our budget. Perhaps most importantly, his workmanship and attention to detail was excellent. Dmitri and his team at Smart Choice are consummate professionals - it's that simple. We had a second story deck that was just over 20 years old that had fallen into disrepair from previous owner(s). During the bidding process he won the business by being 100% upfront about what we was, and was not, comfortable with. I thought I just needed to replace the decking boards initially, but he showed me how the deck was not built up to current codes and why it should be completely replaced. The price was reasonable among 3 different bids. Contracting was easy and straightforward. From contract to completion, it wasn't the easiest process, but not in any way due to Dmitri. First, there were delays with getting the township permit due to miscommunicated requests on their part and me trying to coordinate things from out of town. Thankfully, Dmitri has done several jobs in Nether Providence and that was helpful in getting things resolved with the township. Then, once that was resolved, the decking materials were out of stock for over a month - my HOA required a very specific color and brand of composite decking, which was the primary issue there. If it was up to me, I would have used the product Dmitri recommended instead. The whole time through the delay he kept me informed proactively - it was much appreciated. Once the materials were available, Dmitri wasted no time getting everything done, even working around a roof replacement project that was ongoing at the same time. Now we have a beautiful new deck that we can enjoy when the nice weather returns! I will definitely be calling Dmitri for future projects, both inside and outside our home, and recommending him to anyone who needs a job done right!
We recently hired Smart Choice (Dmitri) to come in and replace and extend our 12x12 wood deck with a 24x12 composite Trex decking. The entire process was great and working with Dmitri was honestly one of if not the best experience I've had with a contractor. He was prompt and responsive, the quote was reasonable, and the finished product was the best part. The experience was so good that I'm trying to figure out more projects for Dmitri to come back and do. I would highly recommend Smart Choice
Mr. One-Man-Show Dimitri, owner, and operator of Smart Choice Construction is an absolute professional. He sticks to his contracted schedule, is meticulous with his craft, and frankly does not tolerate imperfection. I was amazed at the transformation of my kitchen remodel. I received quotes from 3 contractors. Dimitri was the lowest bid and not the reason I hired him, but his presentation, evident profound knowledge, and expert approach to the process won me over. I immediately trusted him, was at ease, and instinctively knew he was the one. I could tell the others were looking at me with dollar signs. If you don’t hire Dimitri, I guarantee you will regret it. Dimitri, thank you, my kitchen is my new favorite place.
