I recently had a hip operation at The Ridgeway Hospital, the treatment i received from all the staff was first class I really couldn't fault it. The care and attention that the nurses, catering staff and cleaners give you is fantastic and always with a smile on their faces. Thank you for making my three night stay so comfortable.

I went for a blood test this morning, I had contacted the hospital beforehand and told them multiple times that I'm scared of needles and I'm on the autistic spectrum, and asked for them to take it steady and be gentle. When I got there today, the nurse I had was very unsympathetic, impatient, not prepared to let me calm down, broke my confidence and I couldn't get the blood test done as a result. There was also no other nursing staff who could do the blood test instead. My confidence is trashed, I feel like I'm a failure as a result. I have surgery coming up on Saturday, how can I get my blood tests done for it, if the nursing staff aren't trained to deal with nervous and autistic individuals? I will be filling an official complaint.

Had my operation last night, just want to say a big thank you to all that looked after me. From coming into reception, being taken to ward. Ward staff anaesthetists (great laughter), to recovery staff, and of course Mr El-Haywary, so calming unfazed, yes there is some waiting, your not rushed about like on a conveyor belt, but there are other patients to be attended too some are not lucky to be day care. If you don’t like waiting think of others, being looked after not everyone takes too anaesthetic very well. My experience was very good and will highly recommend this hospital.
