While previous booking experience from here have been smooth,the latest one was a very unpleasant experience.My booking was cancelled at the last minute because my driver's licence did not have my updated address.I understand that this might be an issue with the general regulations that the company has but what I dont dont understand is that the check for my address was done just a couple of hours before collecting the car. I was informed that all checks /verification is done at the lastm minuted and not earlier because the details can change if they are done earlier. I dont know what to make of this very weird reason for doing last minute check. Whoever thought of this needs to also understand that people make onward bookings which are dependent on car booking and a last minute cancellation disrupts the whole plan . I am sure if the checks are done 5 days in advance details such as address on a driver's license will remain the same at the time of collection.

Always a pleasant experience when I have returned my car here. The staff are very helpful.
The staff is lovely. But their systems and processes don't work. Wasn't able to connect to their branch office on phone after 10 tries. Comms are pathetic: no emails, call center doesn't know about the branch and it's details. Painful to hire from them in general. I would stick to Enterprise.
I thought the staff assisting with my rental were very helpful. At collection, the staff member went through all the additional options and answered all my questions. The car itself was in excellent condition, and pretty much brand new and a nice, smooth drive. Checkout was also painless and processed quickly. Would certainly use Europcar to hire a car again.
Europcar, Swindon, accepted a booking for a car with an 8pm pick up. Without so much as a phone call or an e-mail, they cancelled the booking because, in their own words, obody can be bothered to stay here until 8.\ By this point it was too late to find anyone else who we could hire a car from. Meanwhile they are saying they won't refund the 120 they happily took just a day ago for 5-10 days.
