Loved my stay here for a long weekend with the family! Hosts are very attentive and so close to a great pub next to the river! Will be back soon

Context is everything. I was after a campsite to drop off my kayak ahead of time, return, pitch a bivvy and then launch into the Thames the next morning. On that level, it was 10/10 out of ten. For starters, it backs onto the Thames. If it didn't, I would have been scuppered trying to launch my kayak. Secondly, it had some good flat grass to bivvy beside my kayak. And, finally, it had toilets, showers, washing up block which were all clean and seemingly recently refurbished. I don't know that this would be my pick of camp sites for a family holiday, but if you need a camp site in the area, to start kayaking the Thames for example, you'd be pleased enough.

Read all the reviews, good and bad, and thought lets give it a go. There were nine of us, (most of us in our sixties) plus 6 dogs of various ages and sizes and i have to say we were more than pleasantly surprised. Yes it's small but it's immaculately kept and the facilities were better than we've had at other more expensive sites. Lorraine was very welcoming and explained where everything was. We also got to see 6 B52's going into Fairford, bonus!!!

We liked this little site, it has a river running across the back and some nice walks in the area, one of which was to the pub which was not far at all. The site is clean and well maintained, the owner was very nice and gave us all the information for the site and local area. We've saved this for a return visit some day.
