Well converted and maintained former 1849 railway labourer's lodging house and Wesleyan church. It used to be the GWR Museum and still has a train buffet carriage inside! It is now the home of Swindon Music Service and hosts concerts, completions and a variety of music groups including Rock School.

Fantastic music group. Love going there every Saturday. There are lots of sessions my daughter can do and I have made some great friends myself. If you want your child to experience how to play a musical instrument or to sing this is the place to go. I found this place 3 years ago and it is one of the best things my daughter has joined.
Pattern church is a great place and the 4.30 evening service is awesome
I'm new to Swindon but the Platform is a great space on the western outskirts of Swindon town centre. It's got good access into the building including wheelchairs. The space is dominated by an aluminium tubular light and sound stage with an old railway carriage to the right. Toilets are of to the left on entry. Only downside is that it's not got any parking and on-street parking isn't readily available.
This is the old barracks of the Railway Village, were the single men of the Railway works slept, until the started moving in with the families, they would work of a night and sleep in the families beds of a day, giving them a family life and not being in a room on their own. It is now being used as a music Centre.
