Great place to visit by cruise ship! I liked the hometown atmosphere of Sydney. The port was especially delightful, as we were in port on a Sunday, yet all the souvenir shops were open, including a crafters and artisans market. Upon arriving we were also greeted by a genuine bagpiper, as well as an enjoyable orchestra assembled of town folks upon departure at the end of the days visit.
It was really nice with parking and little shops to look in when a ship is docked.
I like the giant trees nearby.
My husband and I had a wonderful time! We stayed at the Holiday Inn, and had dinner at The Governor's Pub. The service was outstanding at both, and the meals at the pub were fantastic!
The cruise port shopping area in Sydney features some of the nicest most Pleasant and helpful vendors you have ever come across. They sell a wide range of goods clothing , jewelry, and lots more. It's walking distance to the downtown area for more shopping or restaurants, Really enjoyed this place.
Great port! As soon as you step of your cruise ship, you see the "Canadian" flag soaring in the sky (off a flag pole). Location is fantastic, in walk-able distance from the city and historic sites.
Very impressive square and port view.
