After many delays beyond my control (see my review of Marque Lawyers), my application for Administration of my mother's estate was filed recently. But a registrar of the Court has now raised a requisition, i.e. requested further information including the birth certificates of my siblings and myself. The registrar who raised the requisition is not named, no reasons are given and I am not told whether I have any right to ask for them or to appeal against this further delay. The requisition also says that further requisitions may follow. Did it occur to the registrar to say what those requisitions might be, so that I have the option of dealing with them now in case they are needed, to save time? It is now 2 years since my mother died. Like many people at present (June, 2020) I am doing it tough and need the money from my mother's estate as soon as possible. I would have thought that any further delay needs to have a very good reason. The registry staff are exceptionally fast to reply to emails, always within a day and sometimes within minutes. I would give 4 or 5 stars for the registry staff but 1 or 2 for the registrars. So I have given 3 stars as a sort of average. Update (August, 2020): The Court has now raised a second requisition, asking for proof of my parents’ divorce. The relevant document is held by the Court itself! So they have sent it to my lawyer and she will be sending it back to them! Luckily I am not required to have it witnessed by a JP!

Brilliant visit of a historical piece of NSW history and great experience for any aspiring law students.

Judge probated three pages of near illegible handwriting in a stolen book instead of the signed and witnessed will. To make matters worse the book wasnt translated correctly and contradictory intentions on another page were overlooked. At the construction hearing the barrister acting for the administrator said the book should only have been treated as a codicil to the will. My brother has proven if you throw enough money at the Australian Courts, you can write your own will.

The staff at the court were professional and friendly enough but some of the lawyers there have really poor taste gossiping loudly in front of visiting law students about how poorly they think they’re dressed. Very snobbish attitude and really setting a very poor example for students who are taking notes for law school assignments.

THE HIGHER THE COURT, THE GREATER THE INCOMPETENCE, AND THIS PLACE IS NO EXCEPTION. THE AUSTRALIAN JUSTICE SYSTEM SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THIS DIVE.

Abuse, lies. incompetence and arrogance start on level 5. I do not know the directions for justice in the building.
