1st time visit to this restaurant. Service was very good, food was great. Craft ciders very good too. No reason anyone could have a great experience there.

On this particular visit I had the Teriyaki Salmon with glazed carrots and coconut cauliflower rice, and shared a side of their gnocchi mac and cheese. Everything is always so good here and it's all gluten free!
Good selection of ciders and spirits. The gentleman that was running around (sorry, can't remember his name) doing bartending, serving, bussing was a riot!! They definitely need more help but did a great job with our order, still quick service for being understaffed. Pork bowl was awesome!! Definitely recommend stopping in for a pint and grab some food.
A yummy gluten-free restaurant with gluten-free beer. The family and I are from Queens NY. We were in the area and this showed up as well-rated. The cubano sandwich was delicious. The "bread" was made of plantain and had the texture of a panini. It was delicious. The apple salad was well balanced and crisp. The mac and cheese rue was also tasty though the pasta was just okay. The gluten-free beers were equally yummy. My spouse had the flight of 3 different herbal flavored beer. They tasted more like a hybrid of cider and beer but equal parts delicious. I had the Son Of James which had a nice whiskey accent. All in all, whether you're on a gluten-free diet or not, this place is a unique gem and worth a stop.
Delicious food and no worries about getting sick when you are gluten free. Definitely going back. Wish I could give more stars. HUGE THANKS! If I had to give a negative, the pickled carrots (too tart) and beans (bit dry) were my least liked items.
Anything But Beer has a vast selection of dietary restriction-friendly foods. Everything is Gluten free. They have a ton of dairy free options and most menu items have vegan substitutes. I can't eat dairy so I really appreciate that they have amazing dairy free "cheese" options. They taste so much better here than vegan cheese you buy at the store. I can't say enough good things about their vegan mac and cheese (made with homemade gnocchi - an unsuspected yet delicious twist) and I tried their cashew fondue my most recent visit. Their fermented beverages offer something for everything. Some are on the sweeter side, while some are a little more dry. They have guest brews as well if you are looking for beer. They have the friendliest staff, including our waiter. This is a really unique spot in Syracuse and I recommend it to all. Even though the menu isn't large, it still feels like there are a lot of options. Everything I have tried so far is delicious and there is still way more on the menu that sounds amazing and needs to be tasted.
Anything But Beer had brought a new life to this old town watering hole. The bar and restaurant have been a downtown landmark for years and it is good to see it open again. The decor is modern and updated. They have presented the old bar, now with a fresh look. The beer - or rather anything but beer - they serve is mostly fruit based and is gluten free. Amazing to see a bar list full of gluten free options. The food menu has gluten free, nut free, dairy free and vegan options ... and represents truly a one of a kind menu in downtown Syracuse. We would strongly recommend the potatoes appetizer and diakon pasta with mushroom sauce.
Amazing Beverages , very knowledgeable Help, food was delicious.
