If you like Greek food you MUST patronize this intimate restaurant. It may be a bit out of your way, it BUT it is worth a trip to your GPS to find it! (It was actually only 5 minutes from our hotel!) We ate several entrees and could find no fault with anything. The prices were low end but the food was high end... the perfect combination. Definitely do not miss the desserts and Turkish coffee... AMAZING!

The photo I'm posting doesn't do them justice, I wasn't able to get a picture of it right away (but it was still delicious!) The dining room isn't fancy but the big tables accommodate large groups, food is authentic and made to order, prices are really reasonable!
My wife and I had the pleasure of a delicious, authentic, and generously proportioned lunch. The owner was our server and made us feel like we were invited into his home. When he offered us desserts that were freshly made by his wife...we couldn't refuse. They did not disappoint...I would drive across town just for those. I highly recommend Goodies Restaurant and look forward to my next visit.
I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and authentic flavor of the lamb gyro. Nothing here comes out of a can as the owner says. Very friendly and threw in a gratis cashew baklava finger. Out of this world. Decor is unpretentious. Clean restroom. Highly recommend. Cash only. ATM on premises. The best grape leaves in Syracuse! I usually get the Mazza, choice of 4 items. The babaganush and the falafels are my favorites. I also love their spanakopita. Food is authentic and home cooked by the owners. More seating and more upscale than James St location. But Goodies 1 is cozy and friendly. We went here due to the reviews. CASH ONLY!! I had the beef and lamb gyro dinner. Great salad with nice Greek dressing. Meat was very flavorful, and tzatziki sauce was great. Highly recommend!
