Surprised at how little promotion there is of this entrance to the trail! Nice ride up north and around the lake (the bit through the amphitheater is really cool). The only thing with noting is that if you're planning on attempting to ride around the entire lake, bear in mind that the trail doesn't take you all the way. There's a pretty solid stretch where you need to ride next to very busy roads / highways, and as of right now you have to cut through Destiny to get back. It seems like they're working on expanding the trains though, so hopefully some day you'll be able to around the whole lake!

Convinient access to the lake trails that connect to Onondaga lake park and south to Syracuse. There is parking and a boat ramp. The walk along I-690 is loud and on windy days, there is quite a blow, but otherwise looks nice and is relatively quiet. Nice views of the lake shore and the city.

Even though the building is closed, it's a great place to bring a cup of coffee, sit out on the deck and just relax.
