My husband has gotten his medical care at the Syracuse VA since he retired. I have had to go there to pick up prescriptions for him and can’t say enough good things about the employees that I encountered. Especially now when you have to check in at the door and wait everyone has been so pleasant and helpful.

This is a good VA Medical Center. I've nothing but praise for all the staff medical administrative, and various others who work behind the scenes yet are crucial to the function of the facility and especially environmental services/housekeeping. I also commend the hospital for a welcoming multi-faith Chapel. When you are at the VA you might consider stopping in and take a moment for the tending of the spirit.

Every time my doctor Schedules a blood test the lab says there is nothing in there system. I drive 30 plus miles one way to the VA. MY Doctor and her administrator are great. The problem seems to be the lab and the people who work there. If the lab personnel can't or just lazy they should be fired. Veterans deserve better.

This VA first of all scheduled an appointment without any confirmation or asking if the patient is available. Attended the virtual call and doctor was not showing for 30mins and as an essential worker, I returned to my work. Got a Voice mail saying I was not there when the doctor was on that call after 40mins from the appointment time and I need to reschedule this? I get it, they are busy due to pandemic but there are people who are busy as well. Wasted my time and need to go through this scheduling appointment that they might just throw on my life. Can we have minimal respect to patients? Am I asking too much?

The Emergency room has done an excellent job solving my initial issues. Now, I'm waiting to see how things go from here.
