This was the worst customer service I have ever encountered. The manager, Doug, was unprofessional, unethical, boorish, and not the sharpest tool in the shop. First, he said that no adjustment could be made to my current old pair of ski boots (read on to see how wrong he was about that). Then, after his employee asked me to try on a new ski boot onto my foot which has a prosthesis, Doug couldn't figure out how to remove my prosthesis from the ski boot. Instead, he instructed his staff to destroy the boot in order to remove it, and then required me to purchase the unusable pair of boots. He said he had
ever\ experienced a customer with a prosthesis before. He essentially \blamed\ me for wearing a prosthesis that couldn't be removed from the boot his employee asked me to try on. This man demonstrated poor character, as a businessman, and as a human being, and the world should know. Don't shop at The Ski Company.
In stark contrast to The Ski Company in Syracuse, NY, I went to FULLSEND in Canandaigua, NY, and had a most positive experience. The manager there, Zach Hallatt, listened, observed and then modified my pair of old ski boots in his shop. He did the adjusting on site, quickly, and with good humor. Needless to say, this is the shop that earned my respect, my money, and my future business, and they warrant highest recommendations from me. Go to FULLSEND, and forget about The Ski Company.
