I would love to leave a positive review because of decent previous purchases. But not only is their service quite subpar, I also had an experience with inconsistency in the way they prepare their food. They switched out key ingredients and it wasn’t the same dish anymore! No apologies too. Buyer beware. I will order again in the future ONE LAST TIME and then see if I’ll update my review.

Not at all close to the best Chinese takeout I've ever had. The red curry had no heat or flavor and was mostly giant pieces of zucchini, which have no place being in a red curry. The entire point of a curry is the sauce, which was lacking. The hot and sour soup was rather bland. Unfortunately, there were no napkins or utensils in the bag. I probably won't come back here.
Hello, I would like to give a positive review as I have always had good experiences with your restaurant, until Friday. We ordered at 7:45, and received an email that our food would be delivered by 8:49. At 9:00 pm, no food, so I called to check. Whoever answered the phone said, “Oh, it’s not ready yet. Will be another 30 minutes. Sorry.” Then hung up on me. At 9:30 pm, no food. So I called again, knowing you were actually closed by then. The same person answered and said in an annoyed tone, “Yeah, he’s out for delivery.” No apology, no explanation as to why it took nearly two hours at that point. 10:00 pm, still no food. We live 7 minutes away from the restaurant. I should have chosen pickup if I knew this was going to happen. So I call back again, no answer of course because you’re closed, so I left a message and expressed how disappointed I was that it took over two hours, and requested a refund. Our food arrived at 10:12 pm, nearly two and a half hours after ordering it, and we were missing our egg rolls. But I was charged for everything. I called back to leave another message explaining that the food did arrive but was missing items, was two and a half hours late, and was cold. I have heard nothing from you since Friday and was charged the full amount for this mess. I would have been understanding if you were very busy and if someone had said that, or offered an apology in a GENUINE tone of voice, instead of “Sorry” and hanging up on me. This is beyond ridiculous that no one has contacted me to even apologize or reimburse me AT THE LEAST for the egg rolls I didn’t receive but paid for.
I've been going to Szechaun house for 3 years now. Not once have they confused an order, the food is authentic, menu large, and service is quick and efficient. You can honestly tell it is a family business because care is put into each order.
We come here all the time! Twice within just 2 weeks! They have a nice quiet environment. And the food is great. One of my go to places in Lawrence
