Diaspora was created to challenge the traditional art market and promote art that inspires, tells stories and creates connections with its admirers through the richness of non-hegemonic narratives. We want to lead the art market closer to the Brazilian social reality, promoting protagonism and racial plurality in the formal art circuit. Whether through the agency of racialized artists, or developing cultural and educational activities for a broader audience, we aim to build a space of reference and convergence for all who aspire to a more culturally plural society. Our proposal is to connect enthusiasts, researchers and collectors, with a democratic and welcoming approach, enhancing the well-being of the public in their relationship with the art circuit and favoring social transformation at collective and individual levels. Idealizing a new art market, Diaspora Galeria is the only art gallery whose existence is fully committed to racial equality in Brazil.
