The airport is operational 24 hours a day and is of great importance due to its location on the Iranian air border and corridor to Europe and Central Asia. The name of this airport was changed from Tabriz International Airport to Shahid Madani International Airport in Tabriz based on the decision of the East Azerbaijan Public Culture Council.

It’s nice. They often try to renew the building and pay attention to maintenance. The only problem is the main restaurant. It is very bad organized. The management doesn’t care about the quality of food and service. The toilets also are average. It would be pleasant if they rebuilt more modern
