Hi my name is Ricardo villa. I just had surgery February 4th. My case was a challenge for Dr Tahir. due to a appendicitis in my younger years. A right inguinal hernia was very difficult to perform laparoscopy on the right side due to the obstruction of scar tissue. Dr. Tahir was able to perform a bilateral laparoscopy from my left side with success. I feel great now and recovering fast. Dr. Tahir took away years of pain and discomfort from me. Went to this doctor for two different procedures. Original consultation with the doctor was fine, he reassured me he could take care of both issues. He referred me to a facility for testing that asked for a huge amount of money upfront on top of what my insurance covered, so I went back a week later to discuss different types of testing. During my appointment I had to wait almost an hour to speak with the doctor. Once I got in the back the doctor came in with yellow bloody gloves on, fresh out of a procedure. A student was present and his nurse. He removed the gloves and put them in the dumpster in the room however they were hanging between the dumpsters lid by the back of gloves with both gloves completely exposed, bloody and all. Never washed his hands, just sat down removed his mask and started asking me questions. I kept staring at the gloves. Him, his nurse and the student clearly saw how uncomfortable I was and said nothing. He barely remembered my original consultation and what we discussed. VERY dismissive. He tried giving me insurance advice and referred me to the same facility for different testing he said would be cheaper and they charged the same. I also paid additional for paperwork to be completed. I then asked if we could just focus on one procedure which would not require the testing. The staff then advised it would be 500 upfront after weeks of trying to get things going instead of stating that during my original appointment. I would do my research first. Just my personal experience.
Dr. Tahir recently performed surgery on me, and I'm feeling a great deal better. He will take time to answer your questions, and won't rush into a surgery until he's confident he knows what the problem is. The incisions are much cleaner / exact than a previous surgery I had, and I expect to heal up with very little scarring. If I have further issues (let's hope not), I'll be coming back.
I am so amazed and grateful to Dr. Tahir and his staff. Not only did I get amazing care but Dr. Tahir went above and beyond out of his way to go in to the office for me yesterday between surgeries on his (surgical day not in office day) to take care of me, as I was in dire need of his help. I highly recommend anyone suffering from issues that he is fully in control of taking care of. Put your trust in him. Amazing man I am so happy I found him.
Dr Tahir was dismissive during my consultation he had 3 students shadowing me I think he should have mentioned it to me. I have a hernia had me lift my blouse so he and his students could see and called my belly sexy it's not I'm overweight so um no I won't be back
