I'm one of Jamie Simpson's original group of students and started my Tai Chi journey nearly three years ago with him in this great, spacious venue. Jamie has patiently guided us along the way and seems to be able to keep the balance between taking the Tai Chi seriously, but with plenty of humour. Having started knowing nothing, and with two dodgy achilles tendons, I've found the \hand form\ to be a huge help with getting flexibility and strength back into those achilles (and thighs!), as well as helping with my mental calmness and resilience. Jamie also provides advanced classes for students with a little more experience - push hands, sword form and fencing - which are giving me an understanding of tai chi as a martial art.

I've been going to Jamie's classes for just over three years. I get so much from his teaching. His instruction is clear, highly informative and so much fun. Jamie has an ability to connect in a meaningful way with everyone. My Tai Chi has improved my balance and lower body strength. My mental wellbeing has also been positively impacted helping me keep a check on anxiety. Whether we're in class or having online instruction Jamie's teaching is delivered in a relaxed, friendly style. Come and join us and start feeling the benefits!

Hi! So you're thinking about doing tai chi? Well, I highly recommend you join Jamie's class. I joined over 2 years ago and it has proved to be the best thing I could have done. Jamie is a gifted teacher. His own 22 year's practise means he can empathise with every question or concern and can capably support your journey from complete beginner to senior student and beyond, if you choose. His classes are great fun too! Guaranteed to lift your spirits every time. Tai chi has given me physical strength, mproved balance and confidence but surprisingly has improved my mental health beyond measure. I'd used mindfulness techniques before but tai chi takes that to a whole new and enjoyable level. I can promise you a warm welcome from our lovely group, no matter what age you are. The camaraderie between us also plays a big part in the joy of the classes. Jamie has been a rock through the last year's Covid restrictions by continuing his classes on zoom. I know it takes courage to make that first step but I can promise you won't look back. If ever there's a time to start tai chi it's now! Come join us!
