Taibai Mountain National Forest Park is beautiful and a great place for hiking. Foreigners or non-Chinese legal residents are not allowed to enter the Nature Reserve, which is also where the peak of the mountain is located, so if you are going for hiking/workout, I suggest you get transportation to Xiabah temple as starting point, and hike up to the Conservation gate. One way: Length: 2.5 km (1.5 mi) Elevation gain: 660 m (2165 ft) Once reaching the gate, turn back and walk down for 300 meters or 984 ft to Tianyuandifang and take the Tianxia cable car down to Honghuaping. Alternatively, you can also hike up from Honghuaping, passing through the Seven-lady cliff. Confirm your plans and check trail conditions at any time of the year with Taibai Mountains workers at the entrance gates.
