Our visit to Chin-ya was truely amazing from start to finish, We were seated in a private room which was very spacious. The lady serving us did her best to communicate even with the lack of English. The food was amazing, Sukiyaki was one of the foods I was the most excited about trying and it did not dissapoint! The meat was great and the raw egg was scary at first but I would say it was essential. I'd definently go again.

Outstanding, traditional shabu shabu
This was an entertaining dinner from start to finish. My 8-year-old said \this was the best food experience ever!\ Just order the less expensive sukiyaki dinner (4500 yen), no need for the multi-course dinner (6500 yen). It's only a few additional dishes and you'll be too full to enjoy everything. There are probably less expensive sukiyaki restaurants in Tokyo but this one was convenient to Asakusa.
