I used my American Express platinum card concierge to book here (firstly as I do not speak Japanese and secondly because it is so popular!). All the fugu courses were very nice, although I did not care for the initial side dish. I'm going back for the crab hotpot. Went back for the crab hit pot. It's amazing, it's more than enough for two... Maybe even three people.

Highly popular fugu restaurant (seems the crab plot is more popular), not too hard to book once you become “friend” of this place. Possibly one of the finest fugu cuisine you can get (for the tradition side of it). Fugu sashimi, barbecue and shirako were the highlights. If I have 3 people, will go for the crab plot, just way too big for 1-2 person.
Incredible food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Why pay five times the money for fugu at some fancy place when you can get better food from nice people right here?
Pass. I walked in the door and a woman rushed at me saying 'no, no, no!' Practically chest bumped me back out the door. Told me U couldn't uneven make a reservation until April. This was in early February. Rude.
